Sylvie has always had a gift for languages. She studied English at Montpellier University and Birmingham University in the UK. She quickly moved from becoming fluent to picking up a cross between a Brummie and Cockney accent. Following her early career in the UK, Sylvie returned to France and began a professional career as an English teacher. In small pockets of the South of France, you can will find little Brummies and Cockneys going about there daily business. As an occupational hazard of being an English Teacher, Sylvie fell into Business language translation through helping out friends and associates with their translation requirements. Since this time, Sylvie has become a professional translator and heads up L34Web's web site translation team.
One of Sylvie's pet hates is the online translation tools you see on many websites "There is nothing worse" she says "than seeing a web site translated using one of those awful website translation tools. The translations are terrible and convey a really poor image of your website and your business. What I love most is to take a website, work with the language and really convey the essence of the business to foreign visitors"
